Bengaluru: After private schools, hotels and airports, three private engineering colleges in Bangalore have now received bomb threats.
An email was sent at 7.19 am to the official email ids of the principals of the respective institutions. Threat emails were sent to Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT) in VV Puram, BMS College of Engineering (BMSCE) in Basavanagudi and Ramaiah College. VV Puram, Hanumantanagar and Sadashivnagarpolice have registered a case in this regard.
According to police sources, the college management immediately informed the police, who rushed to the spot along with bomb disposal squad and dog squad.
Police said that after investigation, it was found to be a fake bomb threat.
As a precautionary measure, the police sent the students and staff of three colleges outside.
Subject of mail: Hydrogen based advanced EDs are placed in listed colleges by Pak ISI cells in Kovai. Evacuate by 5pm. It says check under the benches for tools and call BDSS.
