Bengaluru: In the investigation of the murder case of KS Renukaswamy (33), a medical shop worker based in Chitradurga, 12 people including actor Darshan were arrested and the police got important information from the four accused who surrendered before the police.
Two of the four accused were paid Rs 10 lakh from Saturday night to early Sunday until the body was dumped on the side of the rainwater drain near Sumanahalli Bridge. The four accused have admitted that they killed Renukaswamy after receiving the money given to them.
The accused were working in an organization engaged in seizing vehicles from defaulters. Police sources said that the agency has leased the land where Renukaswamy was murdered in the shed.
One of the accused, Deepak, Nikhil Naik and Keshavmurthy were to pay Rs 5 lakheach while the remaining Rs 10 lakh was to be paid to Karthik alias Kappe and Raghavendra’s family members after going to jail.
