Bengaluru : The health department has come forward to root out fake medical profession and has issued an order that it is mandatory for private hospitals and clinics to display their KPME registration number, name of the hospital and name of the owner on the front of the building.
In this regard, the Health Department has issued a circular, as per Rule 5 of the KPME Act, which states that the details of the medical practice and available services should be clearly displayed at prominent places in the hospital premises for the information of the public.
It has been noticed that some private hospitals and clinics are involved in the unauthorized practice of traditional and traditional practices, home remedies, body massage and various therapies. These are not classified as medical treatments under the KPME Act. So all private hospitals and clinics should put information board outside. Allopathic hospitals should use blue colored and Ayurvedic hospitals should use green color indicated board. It is hereby informed that the color code must be followed compulsorily.
